Katie Ledecky inched ahead of Paige Madden on the back-half of the first semi-final in the women’s 200 freestyle, putting up a time of 1:55.83 to earn Lane 4 in tomorrow night’s final. At the 2016 Trials, when Ledecky didn’t have to swim the 1500 free heats on the same day, she was 1:55.10 in the semis.
Ledecky ranks second in the world this season by virtue of her 1:54.40 swim at the Mission Viejo Pro Swim in April.
Hopefully, Katie Ledecky posts a time in the women’s 200 meter freestyle equal to or better than the time Katie Ledecky posted at the 2016 Olympic Team Trials (1:54.88).
First 800 of Katie’s 1500 will probably be good enough to make the team in the 800 (in fact I’d bet good enough to win the Olympics).
First one I think 100% spot on..
Second one don´t think so (Expecting a 8:10 maybe a bit lower by Titmus) and even on her WR she was 8:11:70 on 800
