Waikoloa Swim Club is looking to hire a HEAD COACH to our Staff at Waikoloa Village Association Pool. Waikoloa Swim Club practices M-W-F 3-6:30pm with 3 different level groups. We have a team consisting of 34 swimmers. We have the permit to push up to 40 swimmers but do not have the Coaching Staff to accomodate currently.  We are building a team with growing talent and a fun environment for children to build their stroke technique, endurance, and competition participation in Big Island Swimming. Stroke technique is heavily emphasized. For example Illegal breastroke kicks (scissor or butterfly or little freestyle kicks) are constantly corrected on dryland leg work for each component of the breastroke kick (chicken, airplane, solider to novices). The next correction is to flatten the hips. The additional corrections are feet positioning (soccer ball). Progress to breastroke kick streamline on back. Then we work with the pull. Everything always starts and ends in a pencil or streamline. Then end with swimming and coordinating the pull and kick cohesively. IF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING YOU ARE THE RIGHT COACH FOR THIS JOB!
Truly great group of keiki and supporting parents. Located on the sunny, dry side of Big Island with wonderful surf and opportunity for part-time work.
