About BAAC: Buffalo Area Aquatic Club is Board governed non-profit, 501(c)(3), USA Swimming competitive swim club.  The club was originally founded in 1960 as Amherst Swim Club and has also been known as UB Amherst Swimming, Inc. (UBAM).  The club uses two primary pools. Our competitive groups train in an Olympic-sized pool in Alumni Arena at the University at Buffalo’s North Campus (Buffalo, NY). Our Developmental Program trains at Sweet Home Middle School—near UB North Campus—providing the benefits of a smaller setting. On occasion, we also train at other local pools in the UB area.

BAAC was the 2025-26 Niagara LSC Age Group Overall Champion and was the runner up in the Open Championship. Prior to this season, BAAC won the LSC Age Group Championship in 2022–23 and was runner-up in 2024–25, and 2025-26.   BAAC won Niagara LSC Small Team Division honors for five consecutive years prior to 2018. The team has grown from fewer than 50 swimmers to 200 swimmers, and our goal is continued growth and progress across the program.

Buffalo—affectionately known as The City of Good Neighbors—is shedding its Rust Belt image and features a new waterfront, great restaurants (not even counting the wings), and affordability that ranks among the best in the U.S. You will rarely commute for more than 20 minutes, and proximity to Toronto puts a major metropolis within easy driving distance.
