Job Description La Mirada Armada Senior 1 Assistant coach
The Senior Assistant Coach for the La Mirada Armada shall supervise and direct the Senior 2 athletes in our program. There will be a substantial amount of coordination with the National and Senior 1 groups of the program. The Senior 2 coach will make all group and training assignments, make all assistant coaching assignments and schedule all meets assignments for athletes and coaches. The Senior 2 coach shall also be responsible for all administrative responsibilities connected to operation of their group. The Senior 2 Armada coach will be responsible for certain travel meets each season, Futures, Sectionals and down.
Coaching will take place at the La Mirada Splash Aquatic Center. Afternoon hours are 2.5 hours between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. Some morning and weekend practices are required.
Job Requirements:
At least three (3) years of swim coaching experience at an established club or college level. Have all necessary coaching credentials: Coaches safety training, CPR, background checks, etc. Provide a resume with a minimum of two (2) professional references.
Compensation:
Final amount of compensation will be commensurate with job experience, accomplishments and the extent of the duties assumed.

● Schedules vary by location, but are typically 1.5 – 3 hours a day in the afternoon/evenings,
Monday through Friday and may include rotating Saturday practice at another location.Participate in meets, events and team functions (usually 1-2 a month), which may include

● Develop a plan for leading daily practices and provide skilled instruction and techniques
appropriate for the swim group
