VHSL 200/500 Free Finalist Jack Edgemond Makes Commitment to ASU

Reston, Virginia’s Jack Edgemond has announced his verbal commitment to swim for Arizona State University’s class of 2022 next fall. He will join fellow commits Cody Bybee, Cole Kilburn, Eddie Michael, Elijah Warren, Ethan Luc, Jack Little, Jakob Icimsoy, Khalil Fonder, Liam Bresette, and Noah Henry.

Edgemond swims for South Lakes High School and Machine Aquatics. He wrapped up his high school career this weekend at the 2018 VHSL Class 6 State Meet, where he went best times in the 200 free and 500 free and placed 6th and 4th, respectively. Since the summer, he has also improved his times in the SCY 50/100 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100/200 fly, and 200 IM, as well as the LCM 50/200/400 free and 200 IM.

  • 200 fly – 1:46.98
  • 100 fly – 49.47
  • 400 IM – 4:03.83
  • 200 IM – 1:52.16
  • 500 free – 4:32.63
  • 200 free – 1:41.11
