Shaine Casas in the M 50 FL? Shaine Casas is not even listed in the 2022-23 Speedo World Swimming Rankings.

That is such a lame argument. Paltrinieri finished second to Wellbrook in the men’s 5 km open water race. In addition, the 5 km open race is more representative of the 1500 FR than the 10 km open water race. Keep dissing the gold medalist in the M 1500 FR at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships.

In the waters they dive, fierce and bold,
Each stroke and breath, a story unfolds,
Adding depth and beauty, their spirits ignite,
Swimmers contribute a verse to life’s powerful poem, untold.

Meh, not as exciting as the women’s. Maybe the 1500 will be good.

No one even mentioned France and they are in contention for a medal in the medley relay.

Possibly—but who will they put on breast? Maybe Marchand will do something crazy and split 58, but even then I don’t see them beating a peak Italy/United States/China.

They’ll put Marchand and I absolutely think he splits a 58. The bigger question is Manaudou on anchor, he had the one solid swim at their trials prelims but not sure where he’ll be at for a 100 at a major meet.

Italy does not a butterflier or freestyler listed in the Top 25 Speedo Rankings for the 2022-2023 Season.

Don’t see how …
Them beating the US or China would be a miracle. Also Italy should be clearly faster and i also wouldn’t be shocked if GB, Australia and Japan would beat them.

It seems like Coleman wasn’t as prepared for his picks and was still guessing for each spot!
Picking China is always questionable at these big meets. They might be great on one relay and bombed 3 others!
