Man watching Dressel beat Schooling as they both go the 1st and 2nd fastest times all time, I remember watching them race in high school when they went 45 highs. It all comes full circle. Crazy.
Murphy looked really happy to have won the 100 BK. Kudos to him
Dressel’s 100 fly is one of the most incredible races I have ever seen.
100 fly stroke counts
held: 5 – 7 – 7 – 7
conger: 4 – 5 – 6 – 7
schooling: 4 – 5 – 6 – 7
dressel: 4 – 5 – 5 – 6
dressel didnt rush it. goes no breath on the last 25 like austin staab in 09. puts together a perfect swim
Without being tall , Dressel is faster with less strokes than the others !!! Incredible . Troy did a great great work with him so far .
I’ve uploaded all the finals races videos from the meet so far and put them in this playlist, hope this helps! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWER4DiotF_Gx_1sRRfDO6Y44VuUplzON
4:20 mark of the 100 breast A final video. Both Licon and Schwingenschloegl take a dolphin kick instead of a breaststroke kick on their final strokes. Commence downvoting, shameless Texas homers
Can’t see Licon’s legs too well, but Schwingenschloegl definitely did not dolphin kick.
They both short-stroked the finish, so maybe you’re talking about the “kick” on that stroke? That’s not part of the race, you can do whatever you want with your legs after your hands touch the wall.
Whoops, totally disregarded the time-stamp you posted. I was just going off the over-water view of the finish.
On the under water shot at 4:20, you can definitely see them both dolphin kick. Licon’s is pretty light, Schwingenshloegl’s is pretty aggressive.
We only have videos for events that NC state finals in. Any other college have parents who can operate a camera?
Haas would be easily hitting a 1:29 If he can improve those walls. Carter was getting half a body length on him at every wall! Haas is always losing ground in the turns then passing everyone by the end of the 25. So fast over the water, if he ever gets those turns down he will do a 1:29 easy.
Some exaggeration there, but I get your point. Long course looking good for Haas!
I mean, we’ve already seen him do a 1:44.1 split
He would have been 1.43 with some solid underwaters …..that will come in due time . I am seriously looking forward to see the look of the future Us 800 free relay ( Dwyer , Haas , Conger , Rooney ? , ? , ? )
Since last summer , we know Haas needs to work his underwaters & walls ( like Missy actually ) – than he will be hard to beat , even in long course 200 free .Incredibly ,( without great walls or underwaters ) he went 1.44.1 on that Us 800 free relay which is astonishingly fast . Lets see how he does this summer …..
is it just me or did dressel not breathe the last 25?
He doesn’t breathe the last 25 of the 100 fly, which makes coming home in a 22.8 that much more incredible.
