Dynamo Swim Club Shatters Girls 13-14 800y Free Relay NAG

At the Georgia Age Group Championships, Dynamo’s 13-14 A 800 free relay broke the NAG record. The quartet of Tristen Ulett (1:49.76), Addie Farrington (1:52.05), Jade’ Foelske (1:49.50), and Abby Grottle (1:53.69) combined for a time of 7:25.00.

That takes nearly two full seconds off of the old record of 7:26.91, set in 2014 by Chattahoochee Gold.

Old Record (2014) New Record (2016)
Jaclyn Hill 1:51.21 Tristan Ulett 1:49.76
Caroline Aikins 1:51.17 Addie Farrington 1:52.05
Bayley Frierson 1:52.64 Jade’ Foelske 1:49.50
Emma Cole 1:51.89 Abby Grottle 1:53.69

Ulett and Foelske each came through with huge swims. Ulett last month broke the 13-14 NAG in the 100 fly, posting a 52.97 to take down Eva Merrell‘s 2014 record. She was just off of her lifetime best of 1:49.28 in this event.

Meanwhile, Foelske is a German dual-citizen who, like Ulett, also rocks the butterfly races (54.31 in the 100, 1:58.56 in the 200). Coming into the meet, Foelske’s best in the 200y free was a 1:52.01 from February, so going sub-1:50 tonight is big for her.

That Katie ledecky,s 800 free wr of 8:06 is just plain stupid. How many teenage boys can swim 8:06? And her 8:06 is just 11 seconds slower than the 8th place finisher in the men,s 800 free at the world championships in Kazan. The 8th place finisher in the men,s race swam a 7:55.

She,s faster than a lot of world class boys in the 800 and even the 1500. Her 15:25.

this is not the Georgia age group championships. It took place at the eastern section southern zone (essz) age group championships.

So if a swimmer is a German native is she now a USA citizen? Other wise how would they break a NAG for it states the swimmers have to be USA citizens?

Former Swim Coach – she’s actually a dual citizen, and was born in New Jersey. I’ve updated the above to make it more clear that she’s got dual citizenship.
