Michigan’s Siobhan Haughey is still on fire. She dropped a full second from her best time to win the 200 IM, meeting the NCAA ‘A’ standard with a 1:53.48.
Winter Nats: Top Seed Reece Whitley Scratches 400 IM in Day 3 Finals
Whitley was the top seed in the event after putting up a lifetime best 3:44.71 in prelims and would have swum next to American Record holder Chase Kalisz in tonight’s final.

In the first men’s race of the session, Zane Grothe represented the Hoosiers’ postgrad group by scorching an American and U.S. Open Record in the 500 free.
Freshman Katz Comes up Big with 45.3 100 Back Split at Texas Invite
Texas freshman standout Austin Katz was a key player in helping the Horns secure their NCAA spot. Despite their A relay being disqualified, Katz came up big with a 45.34 backstroke split to help the B relay to victory.
Winter Nats: Michael Andrew (200 IM) Among Scratches for Day 2 Finals
In prelims, Andrew took 3rd in the event with his 1:44.27, which would have pitted him against fellow junior star Reece Whitley in the final.
Haas Anchors Longhorns to Victory on Day 1 of Texas Invite
The Texas A team won it in 6:14.62, with Jonathan Roberts leading off in 1:35.29. Teammates Jeff Newkirk (1:33.60), Joseph Schooling (1:33.17), and Townley Haas (1:32.56) finished the job as they won in 6:14.62.
Drabot Scorches 1:51.7 200 Fly on Day 3 of Art Adamson Invite
Drabot turned heads earlier this month when she threw down a personal best 1:54.49 in a dual meet against NC State. She demolished that time today, taking down reigning NCAA champ Ella Eastin as she touched in 1:51.74 to Eastin’s 1:52.03.
