Aurora Roghair on First ACCs: “The extra day is really throwing me off”

2025 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships

Stanford senior Aurora Roghair was a prime example of the impact the addition of Stanford and Cal had on the ACC, winning the 1,650 free and placing 2nd in the 500 free and 4th in the 200 free. Roghair was also affected by the change in the conference, noting that the energy of ACCs was noticeably higher and the extra day of the competition took some getting used to.

her comments about the 200 free are pretty interesting! the way she swims it is pretty different from how she swims the 500 / 1650 (goes out hard and tries to hold on vs building throughout the race) — im assuming bc she lacks easy speed? will be interesting to see how she experiments with that at ncaas

She’s so right about the 2 free pain. That race hurts. Just flailing arms full of lactic acid and praying your legs are still kicking on that last 50.
