WATCH: Race Videos From Day 7 of the Chinese National Championships

2017 CHINESE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Videos have surfaced of some of the fast swims at the 2017 Chinese National Championships in Qingdao, China, which started on Monday, April 10th and will run through Wednesday, April 19th. Since the start of the meet, we’ve seen a handful of records go down.

On day 7, Chinese backtroke star Xu Jiayu continued to rewrite the record books with a 24.42 in the 50 back, setting a new Chinese National Record in the process. Tomorrow, Jiayu will have a chance to complete a sweep of the backstroke races, as he’s already won the 100 back and 200 back title at this meet. There to challenge will be fellow backstroke standout Li Guangyuan.

Check out the action below, including the 50 back record, courtesy of Ye Zhu’s YouTube Channel. We’ve posted all available videos of the finals in each race through day 4. (NOTE: Video of the women’s 800 free is not yet available).
