Texas native Quinn Carrozza was born on October 4, 1996. She took to competitive swimming later than most at the age of thirteen. She has swum for Nitro Swimming and is now a member of the Longhorn Aquatics Club. Carrozza had a successful 2012 Speedo Short Course Junior Nationals. She won the 200 free in 1:46.64. She was also 11th in the 200 back (1:59.06) and 14th in the 100 free (50.51). At the 2012 US Olympic Trials Carrozza swam the 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, and 200 back. Her highest finish was in the 200 back where she was 15th with a time of 2:13.49. Later that summer Carrozza won the 200 meter back at the 2012 Speedo Junior National Championships with a time of 2:11.92. She was also 10th in the 100 meter back (1:03.16). Thanks to her impressive 200 backstroke performances Carrozza was named to the 2012-13 National Junior Team. In 2013 the young swimmer continued to make her mark on the swimming world. At the 2013 US World Championship Team Trials she was 8th in the 200 meter free (2:00.15, 1:59.47 prelims).
