North Texas Nadadores Quartet Downs NAG Record in 13-14 Girls 200 Free Relay

Marin Clem, Vivian Anderson, Olivia Colombo, and Emma Bibza from the North Texas Nadadores have broken the National Age Group Record in the 13-14 Girls 200m Free Relay at the Texas Age Group Swimming Championships (“TAGS”). The NTN quartet combined for 1:47.05, taking .08 off the previous mark set by Sandpipers of Nevada in 2019.

Clem (26.69), Anderson (26.19), Colombo (27.18), and Bibza (26.99) won the event by nearly 3.5 seconds with their 1:47.05. They were fairly even, only separated by 1 second from the fastest leg to the slowest. By comparison, the Sandpipers relay in 2019 had a spread of 1.8 seconds between the fastest and the slowest.

The relays swam in the morning after heats of individual events.

In the final, North Texas Nadadores’ Maximus Williamson continued the tear he has been on for the last two days. After posting a pair of #2 all-time times in the 13-14 age group, Williamson broke the NAG in the 200 free on Friday. Saturday night, he won the 13-14 200 back by 7.4 seconds with 2:04.11. He dropped 3.46 seconds and vaulted to #9 all-time in the age group. Next, Williamson took nearly 6 seconds off his previous best time in the 400 free, going 4:00.52 to become the 8th-fastest 13-14-year-old in history. Both times qualified him for Summer Juniors.
