Two Bolles School swimmers will head north to University of Virginia next fall as they signed their National Letter of Intent this past week with the Cavilers.
First, UVa will add to their women’s program with the addition of Salem Peacock. Bolles is known for producing sprinters, and Peacock is another strong freestyle sprinter, plus is strong in the 100 butterfly and backstroke.
Her bests include 24.88/52.43/1:52.44 in the freestyle events, and 57.87 100 butterfly and 57.66 100 backstroke. She finished top 16 in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke a week ago at Class 1A State Championships.
Luke Georgiadis is another top flight sprinter, and will join the men contingent of Caviler next fall. Just two weeks ago, he finished 2nd in the 50 freestyle and 1st in the 100 freestyle at the Class 1A State Championships. His best times include 21.11/45.27/1:40.35 in the freestyle events. Plus he’s been sub 1:00 in the 100 breaststroke (59.72), at last years HS State Meet.
Both are coached by Bolles School Head Coach Sergio Lopez.
Congrats to Salem, Luke and UVA! Impressive choices by these young people…and this fine institution. We’ll keep cheering for orange and blue!
Luke actually won the 100 freestyle and placed third in the 50 at Class 1A States…
Correction 2nd in the 50

Great news about these two swimming talents from Bolles. You are going to love UVa too!
Heard that Peacock has not necessarily been training for her primary events. Cannot wait to see how the Busch brothers unlock her true potential.
