ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale women’s swimming and diving team continued its dominance in the pool, taking down Cornell by a score of 210-90 on Monday.
The Bulldogs recorded three pool records, and improve to 7-0 and 5-0 in Ivy action.
Notable Performances
- On Sunday, the Yale divers started great momentum for the two-day meet, highlighted by Paige Lai breaking the pool record with a score of 305.70 in the 1M dive. Lai also won the 3M dive with a score of 318.75.
- Hayden Henderson was second in the 1M dive (293.25) and 3M dive (302.48).
- The 200 yard medley relay quartet of Devyn Sargent, Jessey Li, Ele Donegan, and Alex Massey finished first with a time of 1:41.58.
- Morgan Cady won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:02.13 and the 500 yard freestyle (4:56.88).
- Junseo Kim finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:51.30) and 200 yard butterfly (2:01.54).
- Mabel Koff broke the pool record in the 200 backstroke (1:55.22), won the 100 yard backstroke (54.51.) and the 200 ard IM (2:02.13).
- Li broke the pool record in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.25, and won the 100 yard freestyle (50.72).
- Eunice Lee won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.83.
- Donegan finished first in the 100 yard butterfly (55.19).
- The 400 yard freestyle relay quartet of Kim, Li, Koff, and Massey won with a time of 3:26.30.

Looking Ahead
Yale will return home to Kiphuth Exhibition Pool for its tri-meet against Harvard and Princeton on Friday, Jan. 31 through Saturday, Feb. 1. Prior to the meet, the Bulldogs will honor their seniors for their contributions to the program.
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale men’s swimming and diving team picked up another win on Monday, taking down Cornell by a score of 181.5 to 118.5.
The Bulldogs improved to 6-0 and 5-0 in Ivy League action.
Notable Performances
- On Sunday, the divers got the Bulldogs off to a strong start in the two-day meet. Nicholas Chau won the 1M dive (317.78), and Jackson Lipscomb won the 3M dive (328.58).
- The 200 yard medley quartet of Lucius Brown, Charlie Egeland, Nick Finch, and Deniel Nankov won with a time of 1:28.98.
- Arshak Hambardzumyan won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:23.66 and the 500 yard freestyle (4:33.74).
- Noah Millard finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:36.85) and the 200 yard backstroke (1:44.24).
- Egeland won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:58.93.
- Finch finished first in the 100 yard butterfly (47.43).
- Nankov won the 100 yard freestyle (44.84).
- The 400 yard freestyle relay quartet of Finch, Jake Wang, Nareg Minassian and Millard won with a time of 2:58.51.

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women’s swimming and diving team fell 210-90 to the Yale Bulldogs this weekend in a two-day meet at Teagle Pool. The Big Red claimed two event-victories against the Bulldogs.
Minga Xu (56.34 seconds) and Katherine Ferreira ( 57.29 seconds) took the top two spots respectively in the100 yard backstroke. Tori Zhang collected a first-place result in the 50 yard freestyle with her time of 23.54 seconds.
Kate Li was a close runner-up in the 100 yard freestyle (51.02 seconds). Chloe Addiego took second in the 100 yard butterfly (55.37 seconds) by less than two-tenths of a second. Audrey Holden also kept it close in the 200 yard breaststroke with her second-place result of 2:19.33.
Erin Dehollander finished the 500 yard freestyle in second place (2:59.80). Li was the runner-up in the 200 yard IM (2:02.71). Rosalee Springer, Jungmin Yoon, Addiego, and Zhang concluded Cornell’s day with a second-place result (3:26.36) in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

The Cornell men’s swimming and diving team will return to action on Saturday, January 25 against Ivy League foe Brown. The meet is set to begin at 12:00 noon at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men’s swimming and diving team fell 181.5-118.5 to the Yale Bulldogs this weekend in a two-day meet at Teagle Pool.
“Our guys fought tough today, but couldn’t match Yale in the end. We knew they had a talented roster, but we were hoping to get our hand on the wall first a few more times than we did. Big wins from Pietro Ubertalli, Joey Gurski and Connor Brown kept us close for the first half of the meet, however Yale pulled ahead towards the end. We’ll learn from small mistakes and continue to get better as we approach Ivies.”, Wes Newman, the Philip H. Bartels ’71 Head Coach of Men’s Swimming mentioned.
Pietro Ubertalli (48.53 seconds) and Blake Conway (48.62 seconds) led all swimmers respectfully in the 100 yard backstroke. Connor Brown bested the field in the 100 yard breaststroke (55.07 seconds). Joseph Gurski earned first-place in the 200 yard butterfly with his time of 1:47.53.
Ubertalli, Sebastian Wolf, Gurski, and Josh Toothman took second in the 200 yard medley relay (1:29.17). Julian Correa was the runner-up in the 100 yard freestyle with his time of 9:26.23. Dominic Edwards swam a 200 yard freestyle time of 1:40.31 to clinch second-place.
Toothman claimed second-place in the 50 yard freestyle (20.31 seconds). Ubertalli was the runner-up in the 200 yard backstroke (1:44.76). Gurski was second to touch the wall in the 100 yard butterfly (48.72 seconds). Wolff managed a second-place time of 1:51.88 in the 200 yard IM. Ubertalli, Will Taner, Jacques Grove, and Edwards closed out the day for the Big Red with a second-place result of 3:04.75 in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
