Duke swimming head coach Brain Barnes, who just completed his first full season in Durham, talked to SwimSwam about leading Duke in a transition period after the passing of former head coach Dan Colella, balancing long course and short course, the progression of women’s 100 breaststroke finalist Kaelyn Gridley, and the training that the Blue Devils did in the leadup to the 2024 U.S. Olympic trials.
