Tatjana Schoenmaker of South Africa was one of two swimmers to have broken a World Record in an individual event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The breaststroker won the women’s 200 breast in a new WR time 2:18.95.
She picked up a silver medal in the 100 breast, touching second to USA’s Lydia Jacoby. Schoenmaker set the Olympic Record in prelims, going a 1:04.82.
