After being initially established as a YMCA learn-to-swim program in the early 1970s’, we have grown from a small swim team into one of the top professional aquatic instruction, teaching and training programs in the United States; as well as one of the largest competitive swimming operations in South Carolina. Additionally YSSC has, twice, been awarded the Gold Medal in USA Swimming’s Club Excellence program and currently holds Silver Medal status. Today, under the umbrella of the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg, we are fortunate enough to be able to impact over 3,000 youth and families in the Greenville-Spartanburg area every year.
The JCC of Mid-Westchester is seeking an experienced individual who will provide direction and leadership to the Aquatics department. The Aquatics Director will follow all Department of Health (DOH) aquatics standards to maintain safety for all programs in and around the pool area. Candidates should plan to start early/mid- December. This is a full time 40 hour position with benefits including building supervision on weeknight/weekends.

ASSISTANT COACH/HEAD SUMMER SEASON COACH, SILVER CREEK VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB
The individual selected will serve as the assistant coach for the year-round swim team, and serve as Head Coach of the summer season team (mid-April through the end of July). Assistant coach duties include coaching a novice group and an age group practice (approximately two hours per day, five days a week) as well as attend swim meets approximately once a month. This individual will also cover senior group practices when Head Coach is absent due to meet attendance or illness.
Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for swim team participants, attend all swim meets / team functions, promote the swim team program within association guidelines, and maintain a safe environment. Develops, organizes, and implements high quality program. Understands and employs a phlisophy that the team purpose is to develop swimmers skills, teach good sportsmanship, and demonstrate a high level of integrity in a caring and nurturing environment.
The Overlee Flying Fish Team is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach for the 2017 summer swim season. Overlee is an NVSL Division 1 team located in North Arlington, Virginia. The swim team season runs from mid-May through the first week in August.
Velocity Swimming in Wenatchee, WA is seeking a full-time Head Age Group Coach (ASCA Level 2 preferred). The Head Age Group Coach is primarily responsible for lead coaching our 11 to 14-year-old group that includes several Age Group Zone level swimmers. The Palatine Park District Tiger Sharks, a year-round swim club located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, are looking for qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Developmental Coach. The ideal candidates will work with swimmers ranging from 6-14 years old that are in the developmental aspects of the sport. Many of the swimmers have either just finished up with lessons or are simply new to the sport. The positions will require early afternoon and/or evening practices during the week as well as the possibility of working meet weekends.
Fellowships/ Scholarships are available for individuals interested in pursuing a master’s degree with a specialization in coaching women at the intercollegiate level including those who want a specialization in Strength & Conditioning. Candidates should have an undergraduate academic record of high caliber, and advanced skill and / or experience coaching/ teaching. For those who do not receive a fellowship, scholarships is also available. The deadline for applying to the program with consideration for financial aid is January 15, 2017.
