After 3 days at the 2025 A-10 Championships, the George Washington men and women continue their streak of dominance in the standings.
On the men’s side, GW saw three victories on night 3, taking gold across the 400 IM, 100 backstroke, and 400 medley relay.
In the 400 IM, Connor Rodgers led a podium sweep for GW, touching first for the gold in a 3:46.15 to set a new conference record in the event. Teammates Gage Boushee (3:48.77) and Ben Sosnowski (3:49.85) finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, to round out the podium for the Revolutionaries.
Ganesh Sivaramkrishnan, Preston Lin, Daniel Nagy, and Elliott Irwin combined for a time of 3:07.43 to post a victory in the 400 meley relay for GW, leading the field by over 2 seconds. Sivaramkrishnan then took first in the 100 backstroke with a 46.63, leading teammate Holden Thomas into the wall (46.97).
Several other teams also saw individual wins on day 3 on the men’s side. In the 100 butterfly, La Salle’s Felix Jedbratt led the field with a winning time of 44.97, coming in over a second ahead of his competition. St. Bonaventure got on the board thanks to Audan Kreiley, who claimed gold in the 100 breaststroke with a 53.30. The final individual event of the night went to Dylan Felt of Davidson, who won the 200 freestyle title in a 1:33.76.
On the women’s side, the George Mason women continued their strong meet, starting with a win in the 400 medley relay. The team of Ali Tyler, Emma DeJong, Abigial Murtaugh, and Peyton Brehmer combined for a time of 3:39.28, just fending off Duquesne for the title. Tyler later won gold in the 100 backstroke, setting a new conference record in the event with her time of 56.62. DeJong also picked up an individual victory, taking the 100 breaststroke in a 1:01.11.
In the 400 IM, Fordham swimmer Ainhona Martin secured a victory for her team, winning in a time of 4:13.30.
Teammates Orla Egan and Lexi Sundgren led a 1-2 finish for Duquesne in the 200 freestyle, with the pair posting times of 1:49.37 and 1:49.41, respectively.
On the diving boards, Annica Valmassei of Davidson won the women’s 3-meter event with a dominant score of 303.15, leading the field by nearly 20 points.
Despite picking up no individual victories on the day, the GW women escured five top three finishes in the 100-yard butterfly, along with two in the 400-yard individual medley, 100-yard breaststroke and women’s 3-meter diving to give themselves a huge push in the team standings, extending their margin over the field.
