Fiona Muir of Emory Lowers Emma Waddell’s D3 50 Free Record in Prelims

50 Yard Freestyle – Prelims

Emory junior Fiona Muir took a big .21 chunk out of the NCAA Division III Record and Championship Record with 22.48 in the penultimate heat of women’s 50 freestyle on Wednesday morning. Muir was runner-up in last year’s final, when Williams’ Emma Waddell broke the NCAA Division III record with 22.69.

Muir’s best time coming into the meet was the 22.74 she went at 2017 NCAAs. As a freshman in 2016 she was runner-up with 22.81. All ten of her best performances have come as an Eagle:
