Pancake Hot Take: Week 2, Day 3 of Conference Championship Season

After 3 days of conference action, we’ve seen some very solid swims. But nothing breath taking, no swim with that X factor to really pile the pancakes on.

She tied the #3 performance all-time with a 21.03, matching Tennessee’s Erika Brown, who set the SEC Record with a 21.03 last week.

W. Pac-12s: Cal’s Weitzeil a DFS in 100 FR, Hyper-Extended Arm on 50 FR Finish

After declaring a false start in the 200 free, where she was the 2019 champion, Weitzeil was seen on deck wearing a sling during finals.

UPDATE: Weitzeil a DFS in 200 FR with Arm Injury, TBD for Rest of the Meet

Cal will still have Robin Neumann in the championship heat, but missing the defending champion is a setback for the Bears.

2020 W. Pac-12 Championships: UCLA Making Moves on Day 3

Things will get interesting between UCLA and USC for 3rd, as the Bruins are projected to be 10 points ahead if we score prelims.

W. Pac-12s: USC’s #2 Transom DQed in 200 FR Prelims (UPDATE: DQ Overturned)

USC’s Laticia Transom, a sophomore, raced to a 1:44.75 in prelims. However, she was ultimately disqualified for a false start. 

2020 W. Pac-12s: Stanfords Forde, Voss, and Nordmann Scratch 200 Free

Stanford had 3 swimmers scratch the 200 free. Nordmann and Voss will compete in the 100 back, while Forde will swim the 400 IM.
