Dynamo’s Cade Anderson to Remain In-State with Verbal to Georgia

Cade Anderson has announced via social media that he has made a verbal commitment to the University of Georgia for the 2017-18 season.

“I chose UGA because I loved the coaches, the team, and the facilities! Everyone was so welcoming and made me feel right at home. I also loved the big focus on academics at UGA. I want to major in journalism and communications and UGA as one of the top programs in the country in that field. I am so excited to be a dawg!!”

Anderson lives in Atlanta, Georgia and attends Holy Innocents Episcopal School. He placed third in the 100 back (49.82) and fifth in the 100 fly (50.19) at the 2016 GHSA 1-5A State Swimming & Diving Meet. He also swam fly (22.30) on Holy Innocents’ 200 medley relay and anchored the 200 free relay (21.10), contributing greatly to the Golden Bears’ 13th-place team finish in the standings.

Anderson swims year-round for Dynamo Swim Club. He is a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and specializes primarily in backstroke. Anderson has made vast improvements over the last year, especially in the 200 back. He is a Winter Nationals/Summer Juniors qualifier in the in 100y and 100m back and a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 100y fly, 200m free, and 200m back.
