Post Meet Reactions
“Today was an awesome way to send out our firsties with great energy and performances across the board.
This class was my first recruiting class here at West Point and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. They’ve done so much for our program over the years and they will be missed next year for sure! But it’s not next year yet and we still have a lot of work to do!
From the meet perspective, our team rebounded well from our last meet and was much better executing details and racing hard right to the finish! Shout out to Molly [Webber] on setting a program record in the 100 free and becoming the first women ever in Army program history to break 50.00. Also, it was great to see things click for Max Jordan after the work he’s been putting in (both in and out of the water) over these past 3 years!
Today’s meet was fun and I’m happy with how we performed, but it’s time to stay hungry and humble and get back to work come Monday. Go Army!” – Director of Swimming & Diving Brandt Nigro
“Today was incredibly emotional and humbling. I could not ask for more supportive teammates and coaches to see me out for my last home meet of my career. Having so much love shown to our firstie class absolutely melted my heart. The energy was held from the firstie ceremony all the way through the end of the meet, and I was so impressed with the times we put up as a team after a hard week of training! I cannot wait to be even more blown away by the things my teammates do at conference!” – Clara Williams
“The Army team was so excited to compete with one of the best teams in the Patriot League. It was such an honor to be a part of an awesome Firstie Celebration with my classmates. I am so grateful to be on a team that fights hard to defend our home pool and race as a family. Everyone is excited to finish the season strong!” – Jack Pogue
