The Wildcats started the meet on the right foot, with a 1-2 finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Katrina KonopkaEmma SchoettmerTaylor Garcia and Annie Ochitwa touched the pads in 1:42.09, just ahead of their teammates on the B team who finished 2nd in 1:43.99.

The Wildcats went on to win 14 of the 16 events of the day, with double individual wins from Schoettmer, Garcia, Sarah ShimomuraMik Ranslem and Paige Kremer. Schoettmer won both the breaststroke events, touching the pads in the 100-yard breast in 1:04.28 and the 200-yard breast in 2:17.60. Garcia took the victories in the 100-yard backstroke (55.21) and the 100-yard butterfly (56.11). Freshman Shimomura comfortably won both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle in times of 1:50.26 and 4:55.72 respectively. Ranslem, another Wildcat freshman earned high points for the Wildcats after winning the 200-yard fly in 2:02.95 and the 200-yard IM in 2:05.38. Kremer and teammate Ochitwa fought to the finish of the 50-yard free but ended the race with a tie when both swimmers clocked in in 23.48. Kremer then went on to be victorious in the 100-yard free, touching in 50.93, just split seconds ahead of teammate Taylor Schick (50.97).

Oregon State’s Samantha Harrison was the only individual winner for the Beavers, finishing the 1650-yard free in 17:08.13, just ahead of Arizona’s Emma McCarthy (17:10.38).

Arizona continued to dominate, finishing 1-2-3 in the 200-yard backstroke, with Cameron McHugh winning in 2:00.82, Daniela Georges 2nd in 2:02.42 and Jenna Bauer 3rd in 2:03.96.

Northern Arizona took a 1-2 finish in the 1m diving, with Alexa Geiger and Chelsea Jackson finishing with 266.40 and 264.30 points respectively. Sally Hackett won the 3m event, finishing with 302.10 points, just ahead of Geiger who finished with 267.98 points.

Arizona finished off the meet with a 1-2 finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with the A team of Mackenzie Rumrill, Kremer, Ochitwa and Schick touching in 1:33.58, just ahead of the B team (1:35.26).
