Patrick Schramm, who hails from Phoenix, Arizona, has verbally committed to swim for the University of Utah in the class of 2022. As such he will join future teammates Andrew Britton, Ben Waterman, Cole Giandinoto, Garrett Sutton, and Harrison Wayner in the fall.
Schramm swims for Brophy College Prep and Phoenix Swim Club, where he specializes in breaststroke and IM. He won the 100 breast (57.54) and placed third in the 200 IM (1:53.89) at the Arizona State Division I Swimming & Diving Championships in November. He also split 26.13 on the Brophy medley relay, which won the state title by a full second. This spring, Schramm improved his lifetime bests in the SCY 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM at Four Corners Sectionals, placing 3rd in the 100 breast, 4th in the 200 breast, 18th in the 400 IM, and 21st in the 100 fly.
Last summer, the versatile Schramm competed in the 100 back, 100/200 breast, and 200/400 IM at Mt. Hood Sectionals, then wrapped up his summer season at the Arizona Swimming LSC Senior Long Course Championships with new PBs in the 50/100/200/400 free, 200 back and 100 fly.
