Like the men’s 100 freestyle, the women’s 100 free will also feature numerous swimmers who were in the 200 free. Bronze medalist last night in the 200 free Siobhan Haughey of Hong Kong is the top seed with a 52.02. Haughey won silver in the event in Tokyo.

China’s Qin Haiyang holds the World Record in the men’s 200 breast and won the event at 2023 Worlds. He is the top seed in the event and will swim next to Marchand who will be on the back half of his 200 fly, 200 breast double. Haiyang is coming off of a 7th place finish in the 100 breast on night 2. Zac Stubblety-Cook of Australia is the #2 seed and will look to position himself to stand on the top of the podium again. Matt Fallon of the US enters as the #3 seed after swimming an American Record of a 2:06.54 at US Trials.
