Anya has been with SwimSwam since June 2021 as both a writer and social media coordinator. She was in attendance at the 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 Women’s NCAA Championships writing and doing social media for SwimSwam. She also attended 2023 US Summer Nationals as well as the 2024 European Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

Anya is currently based in Columbus, Ohio as she works as an Investment Banking Analyst for Copper Run Capital. She graduated in 2025 with her Masters of Finance degree from Babson College, where she swam for one season during graduate school.

Anya has done numerous research projects on sports, including most recently completing a paper on “Conference Realignment and the Rise of the SEC: How The SEC Became The Leader In Collegiate Athletics” as an independent study, focusing on the finances of collegiate athletics. She graduated in 2024 with her B.A. in Economics and a minor in Government & Law at Lafayette College. There she was a member of Lafayette’s varsity swimming program. Prior to Lafayette, Anya spent a year at John Carroll University.

Anya began swimming at the age of 7 swimming for her local summer team through the age of 10. That was when she was offered to take swimming more seriously and swim year-round. She began year-round club swimming in middle school and made big strides in high school. In high school, Anya competed for Birmingham-Bloomfield Atlantis (BBA-MI). She specializes in butterfly, IM, and breaststroke.

Outside of swimming, Anya enjoys watching football, basketball, and any other sport that is on the TV at the time. She also enjoys playing with her two dogs.
