Anya has been with SwimSwam since June 2021 as both a writer and social media coordinator. She was in attendance at the 2022 and 2023 Women's NCAA Championships writing and doing social media for SwimSwam. Currently, Anya is pursuing her B.A. in Economics and a minor in Government & Law at Lafayette College. There she is a member of Lafayette's varsity swimming program. After graduating from Lafayette, she hopes to attend graduate school to study finance or economics. Prior to Lafayette, Anya spent a year at John Carroll University. Anya began swimming at the age of 7 swimming for her local summer team through the age of 10. That was when she was offered to take swimming more seriously and swim year-round. She began year-round club swimming in middle school and made big strides in high school. In high school, Anya competed for Birmingham-Bloomfield Atlantis (BBA-MI). She specializes in butterfly, IM, and breaststroke. Outside of swimming, Anya enjoys watching football and basketball. She also enjoys playing with her two dogs. She occasionally takes naps with the best ones always after morning practice.
