Anya has been with SwimSwam since June 2021 as both a writer and social media coordinator. She was in attendance at the 2022 Women's NCAA Championships writing and doing social media for SwimSwam. Currently, Anya is pursuing her B.A. in Government & Law and Economics at Lafayette College. There she is a member of Lafayette's varsity swimming program. She hopes to attend law school to study Sports Law in the near future. Prior to Lafayette, Anya spent a year at John Carroll University. Anya began swimming at the age of 7 swimming for her local summer team through the age of 10. That was when she was offered to take swimming more seriously and swim year-round. She began year round in middle school and made big strides in high school. In high school, Anya competed for Birmingham-Bloomfield Atlantis (BBA-MI). She specializes in butterfly, IM, and breaststroke. Outside of swimming, Anya enjoys watching football and basketball. She also enjoys playing with her two dogs. She occasionally takes naps with the best ones always after morning practice.

2020 Ohio Athletic Conference champions will add butterfly specialist Anya Pelshaw to their roster as a member for the class of 2024.
