Army’s Kelly Lennon Joins Louisville As Assistant Coach

Kelly Lennon will make the move from Army to Louisville as an assistant coach. Lennon fills a spot on the staff that became open as Reed Fujan who departed Louisville in May to join fellow ACC program Virginia. Fujan was an associate head coach but the program has not yet announced any promotions to associate head coach.

“I’m honored to join the Louisville Swimming & Diving coaching staff coaching staff and be part of the culture of excellence that is synonymous with this program,” said Lennon. “I can’t thank Arthur enough for giving me this opportunity to work with him and his incredible staff, who all made me feel at home right away. This is a team that is constantly raising the bar, and I look forward to seeing what we will accomplish together. Go Cards!”

Lennon arrives at Louisville after spending the last five seasons with Army. She arrived at Army in 2021 as an assistant coach and was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the women’s team in June 2024. The Army women sent three individual swimmers to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Both the men’s and women’s programs finished in the top three at the last five Patriot League Championships, and the men’s team was highlighted by a Patriot League title in 2025.

Prior to her time at Army, Lennon spent time as a graduate assistant for North Carolina’s athletic department, helping with the event management staff while she also worked as a graduate teaching assistant. She earned a master’s degree in sport administration from UNC.

Before her masters degree, Lennon was an assistant coach at Merrimack College as well as at the club level with SOLO Aquatics, both in Massachusetts.

Lennon graduated from Vermont in 2018 where she spent her student-athlete career. She was a three-time America East All-Conference honoree and was named the America East nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year in 2018.

Louisville was 4th on both the men’s and women’s sides at the 2026 ACC Championships. The women went on to finish 8th while the men finished 12th at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
