Justin Shi swam to a new NCSA meet record in the 100 butterfly on Saturday night, touching in a 53.50. The 16 year old Shi entered the meet as the top seed with a best time of a 53.71. His swim broke the previous record of a 53.69 set by Enzo Solitario in July 2024. Shi moves from #23 to #18 all-time in the boys 15-16 age group, sitting right behind Andrew Seliskar.
Also swimming to a win on the boys side was Aadin Terrazas as he touched in a 3:57.71 in the 400 free to win by a second and a half. Terrazas dropped 1.69 seconds on the day and is committed to Alabama for fall 2027.
The final winner on the boys side was Gavin Tran as he touched in a 2:15.77 in the 200 breast. Tran, an IU-Indianapolis commit for this fall, has a lifetime best 2:15.68 from the 2025 AP Race London Invitational.
Highlighting the girls side of the night was Harper Rauch who swam to a 4:18.18 in the 400 free. Rausch dropped over seven seconds off her previous best and now sits at #79 in the 13-14 age group all-time. She is only 13 this summer so she has another year to move up the age group rankings.
Dropping over five seconds for her win was Odette Brown as Brown touched in a 2:29.35 in the 200 breast. The 16 year old has had a strong summer as she swam a 2:35.56 at NCSAs a year ago for 9th in the event. Abby Chan swam to a win in the 100 fly, touching in a 1:00.91 to drop 0.20 off her best time.
