UNC’s Ben Delmar on Men’s ACC Success: “We achieved our goal as a team”

2025 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships

The UNC men turned heads last week at the ACC Championships when, for most of the meet, they were in 3rd place, only behind ACC newcomers Cal and Stanford. They ended up placing 4th overall, with NC State passing them on the last day, which is still a dramatic shift from their 8th place finish last year. Sophomore Ben Delmar, who placed 3rd in the 400 IM, 5th in the 200 breast, and 6th in the 100 breast, said that the team has carried good momentum all season, and in terms of team placing, they achieved their goal for the conference championships.
