Julia Anderson Born May 24, 1994 in Forth Worth, Texas Julia Anderson is a freestyle swimmer at Stanford University. Anderson is currently in her junior year, and she's studying Psychology. Standing 5'8" Anderson was a three-time Texas University Interscholastic League state champion in the 200 freestyle and 2012 champion in the 100 freestyle representing R.L. Paschal High School. She's been apart of the U.S. National Junior Team, was a National Merit Scholar in high school as well as a Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team member. Anderson was apart of a very strong Stanford recruiting class, and at the time of her verbal commitment Stanford had already secured commitments from two other National Junior teamers. Prior to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials Anderson was plagued by severe pneumonia - she struggled with the illness, which made her physically exhausted. She was strong enough to push through, and made a semi-final at the Trials. Stanford University 2012-2013 As a freshman Anderson competed at the NCAA Championships.
