Jan Switkowski is a Polish Olympian and a world championships bronze medalist. He competed for the University of Florida during his college years. College Career 2013-2014 Switkowski attended Virginia Tech for the 2013-2014 season before making the decision to transfer to University of Florida. During his freshman year, Switkowski won the 500 freestyle at ACC Championships with a time of 4:18.15 and competed in three relays. 2015-2016 In 2015, Switkowski made his debut as a Florida Gator. He placed second in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 and 200 butterfly at SEC Championships. To finish off his season, Switkowski managed to score in all seven events at the NCAA Championships. His touched the wall fourth in both, the 200 IM and 200 freestyle, and got ninth in the 200 butterfly. He also helped Florida get third in the 800 and 400 freestyle relays. 2016-2017 During his junior year, Switkowski placed second in the 100 and 200 butterfly at the SEC Championships. In the 200 butterfly, he got out touched by Gerogia's Pace Clark by 0.07 seconds. A few weeks later, Switkowski had a successful showing at the NCAA Championships. He won the 200 IM and 200 freestyle B-finals and placed 10th in the 200 butterfly. …
