Day 6 Finals Relay Line-Ups

The Women’s 4×200 Free Relay sees a return to the normal eight teams contesting for the podium after the Men’s relay had nine. Leading the way is the squad from Australia that sits ahead of the next nearest country by a healthy margin of seven seconds.

Lane 1 – Great Britain: Freya Colbert, Abbie Wood, Freya Anderson, Lucy Hope

Great Britain brings in Freya Colbert (PB: 1:56.22) to lead off the relay, replacing Medi Harris who anchored in 1:59.74

Lane 2 – Brazil: Maria Costa, Stephanie Balduccini, Maria Heitmann, Gabrielle Roncatto

Brazil makes no changes

Lane 3 – China: Yang Junxuan, Li Bingjie, Ge Chutong, Liu Yaxin

China drops Tang Muhan (1:59.31 lead-off) and Kong Yaqi (1:59.33) in favor of Yang Junxuan ( 5th – 1:55.38) and Li Bingjie (10th – 1:56.46)

Lane 4 – Australia: Mollie O’Callaghan, Lani Pallister, Brianna Throssell, Ariarne Titmus

Australia adds Mollie O’Callaghan (1st- 1:53.27) to lead off and WR holder Titmus (2nd – 1:53.81) to anchor. Pallister and Throssel remain from prelims. All but Pallister were part of the relay last summer that set the WR.

Lane 5 – Hungary: Nikolett Padar, Minna Abraham, Anja Kesely, Panna Ugrai

Hungary makes no changes

Lane 6 – USA: Claire Weinstein, Paige Madden, Katie Ledecky, Erin Gemmell

USA keep on Erin Gemmell from the morning but shifts her to anchor adding in Claire Weinstein (8th – 1:56.60), Paige Madden (PB: 1:56.36) and Katie Ledecky (PB: 1:53.73)

Lane 7 – Canada: Mary-Sophie Harvey, Ella Jansen, Summer McIntosh, Julie Brousseau

Canada moves Harvey from anchor to lead-off and swaps in Summer McIntosh (PB: 1:53.65) to swim the 3rd leg, replacing Emma O’Croninin (2:00.27 lead-off)

Lane 8 – New Zealand: Erika Fairweather, Eve Thomas, Caitlin Dean, Laticia-Leigh Transom

New Zealand makes no changes.

If bingjie swims well yea if she is still rough should be comfortable silver for US.
