2019 Northeast-10 Championships

The Northeast-10 Championships closed with records made and streaks broken along the way. The women of Assumption and the men of Bentley have won their respective 2019 NE-10 titles.

The SCSU men won in 2018 while the women had a 2 year streak since 2017. Since 2004, SCSU (Southern Connecticut State) had won 25 titles as a combined men’s and women’s program, but this year they were shut out, placing 2nd in the men’s meet and 3rd in the women’s.

The 2019 edition of the meet also featured 6 new conference open and meet records. Among the record-breakers was Assumption’s Shannon Quirk. Quirk’s first record was made after a brillant race with Bentley’s Melissa Viator. Quirk paced off of Viator until the last 150, where she took off to finish in a 10:24.09.
