Justin Ress took the 50-back win in his home pool, touching in 24.7. Ress spoke to the media about, among other things, the new backstroke finish rule, affectionately referred to as the “Ress Rule” after the world champ was Dq’ed for a long finish last summer (which was ultimately overturned).
He took advantage last year, before it was a rule.
They need to get rid of the Lochte rule next.
