Kudos for Brendan Hansen. Not sure about his chances in his individual event(s) in London, but he’ll be of a great help to USA medley relay. On the other hand, too bad for PVK. Such a disappointment for Beijing bronze medalist.

Medley Relay is Probably now a Lock for Gold for US

On 200 Breast I Think it will be very hard for any medal for US on 100 Breast Shanteau is out of question Hansen will Batle Tateishi, França, Van der Burgh and Scozzoli for who gets Silver/Bronze

I wouldn’t say lock, but he’s definitely helping.

Great day of competition! And than you swimswam for your absolutely crazy and great job.
Some views about the races of yesterday.
I repeat I don’t understand some tactics. Why do Dana Vollmer, Breeja Larson and many others swim so fast in the heats and in the semi-finals? Dana Vollmer has almost swum the same time on every race. Remember last year at the world championships when she was amazing in semi-finals and she struggled a little in final. She won but it was close. Remember Rebecca Soni in the 200 breaststroke last year when she swam very fast times in the heats and in the semi-finals. And in final she wasn’t the same at the end. This… Read more »

In regards to Megan Romano she has nothing to lose it is after the 200 free and also she did it at NCAA’s 2 free back to back with the 1 back and swam exception in both. I dont know about coughlin though I think she just wanted to see what she could do. Allison knew she was going to London and just wanted to see if she could hold on. To do that and be within the same second of the American record is impressive. As far as Ryan Murphy he has always been better at the two back so I think after his hundred he may be a contender in that event

Murphy might not make the team in the 100 back, but he could be a 53 low. I have high hopes for him to challenge Clary for 2nd place ion the 200 back

“I repeat I don’t understand some tactics. Why do Dana Vollmer, Breeja Larson and many others swim so fast in the heats and in the semi-finals?”
When I was a 14 year old age grouper I was competing at the first long-course meet of the summer at a local, rinky-dinky pool. The last event of the day was the 1500, which I’d agreed to stick around for and help some friends with the counting. A kid from another local team who’d been swimming for less than a year was getting really pumped up for it–putting on a cap, getting all psyched (if this weren’t the era before suits, I’m sure he would have been all suited up). I asked… Read more »

If you four guys were a relay, which relay would it be, and who would swim what?

Medley Relay would be best methinks.
Obviously Mel on fly, Braden strikes me as backstroker, Garrett on breast, and Roque to anchor.

Roque was a bit of a breaststroker. And Garrett free/fly, I think.

ok,

so Braden to lead in back, followed by Roque in breast, then Mel to do the fly, and anchored by Garrett.

Hi guys,

great job what your doing there in omaha!
would be awesome to have such interest here in germany.
it’s really noise there and for non native speakers quite hard to understand all what you’re saying.
if you could change that maybe even more europeans would watch 🙂

cheers,

steffen

Are you the real Steffen Deibler?
Are you going to London? I know your brother Markus is, but not sure about you. Are you in the 4×100 free relay?

If you are, good luck in London!
