France’s Charlotte Bonnet has been added to the European roster for the 2013 Duel in the Pool that runs December 20th and 21st in Glasgow, Scotland.
Bonnet is an extremely versatile freestyler, that can fill spots from the 100 through the 400 (and in this format, probably the 50 and the 800 as well) for the Euros.
In the 100 free, she was a 54.4, her lifetime best, at this spring’s French Championships, and at Worlds swam a 1:56.63 in the 200 free, plus a 4:13.61 in the 400 free.
She’ll probably have, at least, a spot on the European 400 free relay along with her individual swims. That’s a very winnable relay for the Europeans, and as more-and-more swimmers commit publicly to this meet, this year’s event looks more-and-more like it could be the closest that we’ve seen in this series.
Charlotte is the next big French freestyler on the women’s side.
She trains with Camille Muffat in Nice.
She will be a medal contender in 2016 in the 200 free, by far her best race.
