Mihail Amiorkov from Sandpipers of Nevada Verbally Commits to Cal Poly

Mihail Amiorkov has verbally committed to swim for California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo beginning in the fall of 2017. Amiorkov is a senior at Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was third in the 200 IM (1:54.94) and runner-up in the 100 back (53.75) at the 2016 NIAA D1 State Championships last May. He also led off the state-champion 200 medley (25.13) and 400 free (48.50) relays.

Amiorkov swims for Sandpipers of Nevada. He has Summer Juniors and Short Course Nationals cuts and specializes in 200 / 400 IM, 200 fly, and 200 breast, although he is quite versatile in other strokes. He won the 200m fly, 200m IM, and 400m IM at Western Senior Zones Championships last August, and was an A-finalist in the 400y IM at Winter Juniors West in December.
