Day 1 Finals Heat Sheet

Night 1 will kick off in Austin, Texas with the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay. The Lakeside Aquatic Club boys swam to a Meet Record a year ago, will they repeat again? Maximus Williamson is in his final Winter Juniors meet before he heads off to Virginia next fall.

GIRLS’ 200-YARD MEDLEY RELAY – TIMED FINALS

  • West Record: 1:37.65 – Fort Collins Area Swim Team (B Stewart, Z Bartel, C Gillilan, K Alons) 2017
  • Meet Record: 1:36.48 – Carmel Swim Club (Berglund, Sweeney, Shackell, Christman), 2022
  • 13-14 NAG Record: 1:41.57 – TAC Titans (Liu, He, Nixon, Whelehan), 2024
  • 15-16 NAG Record: 1:39.21 – Virginia Gators (Muzzy, Kulp, Bray, Hamilton), 2017

The Lakeside Aquatic Club girls ‘B’ relay earned the win out of heat one with a 1:40.35 while swimming out of lane 7. Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club finished 2nd in the first heat, touching in a 1:40.52.

Beach Cities Swimming posted a 1:37.26 in heat two to take over the top time and post a meet record in the process. The Brito sisters were featured in the relay as Bella Brito split a 27.13 on the breaststroke leg and 14 year old Gabi Brito split a 21.90 on the anchor leg. Crow Canyon Sharks ‘A’ relay swam to a 1:38.40 to touch second in the heat.

BOYS’ 200-YARD MEDLEY RELAY – TIMED FINALS

Olympus Aquatics earned the outside sweep in heat one with a 1:29.98 out of lane 8. That finished ahead of Irvine Novaquatics swam a 1:29.99 to touch second.

Heat two saw Waterloo Swimming earn the win in a 1:28.87. The team was out fast as Aaron Gordon split a 21.71 on the backstroke leg. Aquajets Swim Team finished 2nd in a 1:28.95. Maximus Williamson of Lakeside Aquatic Club notably led off the team’s relay splitting a 21.58 on the backstroke leg as the relay touched 4th in the heat with a final time of a 1:29.16.

  • 13-14 NAG Record: 7:18.96 – NOVA Aquatics (G. Sheble, C. Sheble, Erickson, Ackerly), 2017
  • 15-16 NAG Record: 7:08.94 – NCAP (Duncan, Spink, Wall, Gemmell), 2020
  • 17-18 NAG Record: 7:06.69 – NCAP (Duncan, Wall, Spink, Gemmell), 2022

Top 8:

Irvine Novaquatics ‘A’ relay earned the win in heat 1 and led from the start. 15 year old Alyssa Ton posted a best time 1:45.37 on the lead off leg and the relay did not look back. Ton’s time moves her up the all-time rankings in the age group as she previously sat at #92 and now sits t-46. The relay touched in a final time of a 7:16.81.
