In order to become the fastest swimmer possible, you will need help. A lot of it. Swimming fast is no longer about simply having a good swimming program. There is much more to it than that.
At The Race Club, we have come to recognize just how important the five disciplines needed for fast swimming really are; swim training, strength training (dryland), mental training, nutrition and recovery. Most of the fastest swimmers in the world are being coached or have developed programs in all five of these disciplines.
No coach, including the most elite swimming coaches in the world, is an expert in all five disciplines. They all rely on experts to help their swimmers attain their goals. Today, you don’t necessarily need to join the program of one of the elite coaches. Likely, you wouldn’t be able to
join them, anyway. You don’t even need to go out and hire your own experts. You have The Race Club.
One of the greatest successes of launching our subscription service has been through Lane 4, where swimmers get an expert Race Club coach to provide extra help. No matter where you live in the world. With Lane 4 service, our Race Club coaches spend 30 minutes twice per month on a video call with you, or your parents, your coach or anyone else you would like. We will help you develop a better program and swim faster.
Every program, even the best, has weaknesses. Our job is to figure out what they are and to help shore them up, using all of our resources. Simple as that. When we do, good things happen. We are not your primary coach…just an extra coach. One that matters. We help you set up seasonal goals and strategy, review videos and most importantly, provide help in all five disciplines, should you need it.
There is actually more to it than that. Sometimes you simply need someone who has the time to listen to you……just an extra pair of ears around. Ones that will, in turn, offer good advice. Or sometimes you just need someone else reminding you that you can reach your goals. Or that you should be more patient in reaching them. Or that you should be more aggressive in reaching them. Whatever the problem, we will find it and help fix it. We pride ourselves in doing that well.
Here is what one of our Lane 4 Race Club members had to say:
“After traveling to The Race Club for several camps through the years, we decided to seek out the expert input of trusted coach and friend, Gary Hall (through our online service), whom we have come to love and respect so much through the years. It was tremendously helpful to teleconference with Gary and listen to him assist Maggie….”
– Dr. Susan McNair, Mother of World Champion Maggie MacNeil
You don’t have to be a world champion to benefit from our Lane 4 coaching service. Our expert swimming coaches are ready to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. What are some of the weaker areas in your program that we can help fix?
Yours in Swimming,
Gary Sr.
