USA Swimming Reveals Familiar Standards for 2017 Championships

USA Swimming has released time standards for their 2017 Championship meets, and they’re generally very similar to those used in the pre-Olympic year in 2015.

The 2017 U.S. Nationals and World Championship Trials, the summer’s biggest meet, will have identical standards to the 2015 World Championships. Unlike 2015, however, there are no 18 & under bonus standards for junior athletes to get more experience swimming more races.

Junior Nationals standards are also the same as they were in 2015 and 2016.

Full selection procedures for 2017 international meets have not yet been announced.

  • Time Standards
  • June 27th-July 1st, 2017
  • Indianapolis, Indiana (IU Natatorium)

2017 U.S. Open

  • Time Standards
  • August 2nd-6th, 2017
  • East Meadow, New York
  • Qualification Period – 6/1/2016 through Entry Deadline

2017 Summer Junior Nationals

  • Time Standards
  • August 8th-12th, 2017
  • East Meadow, New York
  • Qualification Period – 6/1/2016 through Entry Deadline
