Emily Grund from Trophy Club, Texas, has made a verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for 2018-19. Grund is a senior at Keller High School; she finished 5th at the 2017 UIL 6A Swimming & Diving State Meet and was runner-up as a sophomore in 2016.
Grund dives for CG Divers year-round. A three-time NISCA All-American, she is a member of the USA Diving Junior National Team and has achieved the following:
- 3-Time Junior National Champion
- 3-Time Junior West National Champion
- UANA Junior Pan American 3 Meter Diving Champion
- 3-Time UANA Junior Pan American Silver Medalist
Grund will join the North Carolina class of 2022 with the following verbal commits to the women’s swimming and diving team: Grace Countie, Heidi Lowe, Lilly Higgs, and Sophie Lindner.
