Background Connor Jaeger had only swum the 1500m freestyle four times before his Olympic Trials debut in 2012. He finished second, earning him an Olympic rings tattoo and later a sixth-place finish at the London Games. One might say distance freestyle is just his thing. Born in 1991 to parents Eric and Bernadette Jaeger, he began swimming at age 8. Jaeger grew up with his sister, Dana, in Fair Haven, NJ, where both swam for the Central Jersey Aquatic Club (CJAC) under coaches Corrina Weinkofsky and Cathy Corcione. Jaeger showed early promise by qualifying for New Jersey All Star and Junior Olympics teams. He attended Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and by the time he graduated in 2010, Jaeger was named All-State in the 200yd freestyle and set five Shore Conference records. NCAA Career Jaeger began his collegiate career at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI in the fall of 2010. He achieved his first NCAA championship as a freshman on the Wolverines' 800yd freestyle relay. Sophomore year, he secured a third place finish in the 1650yd freestyle and finished fifth in the 500yd freestyle. He returned for the 2012-2013 season a freshly-crowned Olympian, and helped Michigan to an NCAA team championship …

Beisel Bunch Wins Bloomington SwimSquads, Moves Up To 3rd in Points

Elizabeth Beisel’s Beisel Bunch won the Bloomington stop of the Pro Swim Series in SwimSquad points, earning 89 and passing up Maya DiRado’s DiRadSquad for third. Cammile Adams’ Adams Family struggled in Bloomington, but still holds a strong lead over Connor Jaeger’s Jaeg-Train in the series with one stop to go.
