It was another big week of commitments as swimmers and divers all around the country are making their decisions in advance of National Letter of Intent Signing Period (November 11-18, 2015). Some of the more notable verbals came from:
- Andrea Vergani and Ethan Young – Cal – Numbers 10 and 11, respectively, on our Top 20 list, Young and Vergani both threw their names into the Golden Bears’ ring this week, joining Albert Gwo, Jack Xie, and Michael Jensen ahead of them.
- Katie Drabot, Erin Voss, and Benjamin Ho – Stanford – Drabot (6), Voss (11) and Ho (18) all gave verbal commitments to the Cardinal this week, in Stanford’s biggest weekly haul to date.
- Jeremy Babinet – Michigan – Babinet (12) added his name to one of the most fully-formed classes of 2020. The Wolverines have already received verbals from Charlie Swanson, Jacob Montague, Jake Herremans, James Jones, Robert Zofchak, and Tommy Cope, in addition to this week’s Babinet and Miles Smachlo.
- Taylor Abbott – Tennessee – Abbott (13), one of the nation’s top distance freestylers, committed to the Volunteers and their strong group of distance/open water swimmers. Tennessee also picked up two more verbals this week from Alec Connolly and Nathan Murray.
- Ted Schubert – Virginia – Schubert (20) made the decision to remain in-state and swim for the Cavaliers, joining a strong list that includes Henry Keel, Jared Norton, Jason Quinn, John Whiteside, and Ryan Baker.
