The North Carolina Senior Championship closed out on Sunday night, with SwimMAC Carolina taking the women’s men’s and combined team titles.
Lindsay Morrow of Wolfpack Elite took the women’s 200 IM with a 2:17.94, shaving .43 seconds off her previous best time. Morrow posted a quick front half of the race, hitting the 100 mark in 1:04.01 (30.07/33.94). She then swam a 41.06 breast split, and a 32.87 free split.
Thomas Bretzmann (North Carolina Aquatic Club) won the men’s 1500 with a time of 15:48.05. That time comes in slightly off his best time of 15:45.55, which he swam at last Summer’s Junior Nationals. Bretzmann negative split the race slightly, swimming a 7:54.63 on the front half, and coming home in 7:53.42.
Parker Campbell (Wolfpack Elite) swam to victory in the men’s 200 back, touching in 2:04.49. That time came in nearly 2 seconds off his personal best of 2:02.76, which he swam back in 2016. His teammate ,Tyler Rice, won the men’s 100 free with a 51.27, coming in off his best of 50.52. Rice went out in 24.21, coming home in 27.06.
