The NCAA Championship season is electric, exciting, and goes by way too fast. A blur of conference championships flickers by, followed by a few weeks of anticipation, and then the big show happens in March. Then, it’s over.
Tonight, though, there’s an opportunity to relive the 2018 men’s and women’s SEC Championships, along with the 2018 Women’s NCAA Championships, on television.
At 5pm, ESPNU, the college channel of ESPN, will host a two hour time slot to cover the 2018 Women’s NCAA Championships. The meet saw Stanford dominate the team race, buoyed by a five-relay sweep and heroic individual performances from Ella Eastin, Katie Ledecky, and Simone Manuel, among others. Mallory Comerford torched the field in the 200 free to become the second-fastest performer in history behind Missy Franklin, while Kathleen Baker and Lilly King swept the backstrokes and breaststrokes, respectively.
At 10pm, the SEC Network will air coverage of the 2018 SEC Championships. Caeleb Dressel was a star in his “off” events at this meet, putting down performances including his 1:38 200 IM and then-American record 100 breast.
Tune in tonight to watch some fantastic racing all over again.
I am watching the men’s NCAA meet as I write this, also on ESPN U. The 400 IM is about to begin and the meet is scheduled to be broadcast from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Eastern time.
