Reno, Nev. – The Nevada Swim and Dive team continued their winning ways, defeating Fresno State 183-117 at Lombardi Pool. This victory improves the Wolf Pack’s all-time record against the Bulldogs to an impressive 15-1, with Nevada remaining undefeated at home. Fresno State’s lone win came last year, but Nevada reclaimed their dominance in this year’s matchup.
The meet kicked off with a powerful showing in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Scarlett Ferris, Sara Mihalic, Yasmin Perry, and Evie Floate secured the first win of the day, clocking a time of 1:41.22. Notably, Ferris, a key member of the top 200 medley relay team in the Mountain West Conference, recorded the fastest 50-yard backstroke leadoff split in the conference, highlighting her standout performance.
Keira-Lee Allott dominated the distance events, capturing first place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:23.74. In the 200-yard freestyle, Enkhkhuslen Batbayar followed with another Nevada win, touching the wall in 1:49.76. Ferris added to her team’s momentum by winning the 100-yard backstroke in 54.35.
Yasmin Perry secured a top finish in the 200-yard butterfly, winning in 2:03.24. Nevada kept up the pace in the sprint events as Abby Parks earned first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.73.
On the diving boards, Bailey Heydra delivered a standout performance, winning the 3-meter event with a score of 348.75. Right behind her, Lucia Gabino claimed second place with 271.80, further solidifying Nevada’s control of the competition.
Batbayar secured another first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.82, while Ferris extended Nevada’s lead by winning the 200-yard backstroke in 2:03.06. Allott continued her strong showing by taking the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:03.92.
Yasmin Perry added her second individual win of the meet in the 100-yard butterfly, touching the wall at 55.40. In the 1-meter diving competition, Heydra once again led the field, scoring 305.40 to win the event, with Gabino in second with a score of 269.85. Mihalic secured a win in the 200-yard IM in 2:07.00.
The Wolf Pack wrapped up the meet with a dominant performance in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Parks, Batbayar, Ferris, and Noelle Harvey finished with a winning time of 3:27.58, sealing Nevada’s victory.
Nevada will return to action on November 9 at New Mexico, as they look to continue their undefeated season.

RENO, Nev. – Fresno State swim and dive fell to Nevada in their first road duel meet of the season at Lombardi Pool on Saturday afternoon, 189-111.
Aliz Kalmar earned another pair of event wins with the 100 & 200 breaststroke and was the second-high point swimmer this afternoon with 20 points.
How it happened
Nevada took the lead out of the gate after taking the 200 medley relay, out-touching the Bulldogs by a second. Fresno State worked to make up ground securing a 2-3 finish in the 1000 freestyle. Laura Kalmar grabbed second place (10:46.79) followed by Samarah Melia (10:48.22). Ava Elliot touched for a time of 10:55.15 good for fifth and Abigail Rousseau for seventh with 11:32.87.
Sam Arredondo kept the third place position full in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.42 and Wiktoria Dabrowska in fourth with a time of 1:54.62.
Freshman Sienna Cheng-Lucey on a roll touching second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.58 for a season best. Fellow freshman Ryley Clark also hauled in for fourth (58.47).
Aliz Kalmar snagged another set of event wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. In the 100 breast Kalmar clocked in a time of 1:03.82 and a 2:18.15 in the 200 breast. Sophomore Jenna Pulkkinen saw second place finishes in both events as well with times 1:04.09 and 2:20.70 , respectively.
Bulldogs took home another 2-3 finish in the 200 butterfly at the hands of Sera Hanagan (2:06.13) and Clara Laskey (2:09.69).
In the diving well, Grace Ally took home third in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. Freshman Parker Connor saw action on the springboard with a fourth place in the 3-meter (230.78) and 1-meter (215.50).
Fresno State finished the meet with another second place finish in the 400 free relay, Clark, Pulkkinen, Matney, Cheng-Lucey clocked in a time of 3:31.62
