Kyle McDade from Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada and Toby Mayfield from York, Great Britain have announced their commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at Canisius College beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.
Canisius College is a private college located in Buffalo, New York. The school is a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The MAAC did not host a championship in 2021 due to COVID-19, but in 2020, the Canisius men finished eighth out of ten teams.
Kyle McDade

McDade also said “My commitment wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Lori Payne from ACC Recruits. She made the whole recruiting process very easy and I am grateful for all her help.”
McDade swims for Crest Swimming out of East York, Ontario. He is in his senior year at Bishop Allen Academy in Toronto, Ontario.
His best long course meters times (with SwimSwam SCY conversions) are:
- 50 freestyle: 26.36 (23.02)
- 100 freestyle: 56.85 (49.77)
- 200 freestyle: 2:07.23 (1:51.73)
- 100 butterfly: 1:02.57 (55.10)
It took times of 21.22 in the 50, 46.41 in the 100, and 1:42.03 in the 200 freestyles to earn a second swim at the 2020 MAAC Championships.
Toby Mayfield

Mayfield swims for York City Bath Club out of York, United Kingdom and is in his senior year at St. Peters School in York, UK. He is an English National qualifier in the 200 IM.
His best short course meters times (with SwimSwam SCY conversions) are:
- 200 IM: 2:09.27 (1:56.45)
- 400 IM: 4:40.16 (4:12.39)
- 50 freestyle: 24.39 (21.97)
- 100 freestyle: 53.11 (47.84)
- 200 freestyle: 1:59.21 (1:47.39)
It took times of 1:53.89 in the 200 IM, 4:08.74 in the 400 IM, 21.22 in the 50 freestyle, and 46.41 in the 100 freestyle to earn a second swim at the 2020 MAAC Championships.
