FGCU-Bound Izzy Ackley Wins Women’s 50 BK in 29.26 on Final Day of Columbia Summer Sectionals

The final day of the 2024 Columbia Sectionals is in the books. The last day of the meet saw Izzy Ackley from Parkway Swim Club win the women’s 50 back in 29.26. Ackley, who will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall, swam a 29.25 in prelims. She holds a career best of 28.84, which she swam at the Spring Sectionals meet in Columbia back in March.

It was Mizzou’s Grant Bochenski who won the men’s 50 back, swimming a 25.47. Bochenski swam his career best of 25.11 last summer at US Nationals.

Team Triumph’s Jack Dahlgren won the men’s 100 free in 49.84. The performance was close to Dahlgren’s personal best of 49.00, which he swam at the Pan American Games in the fall of 2023.

Mizzou’s Logan Ottke won the men’s 50 breast in 28.37, marking a new career best for the 20-year-old.
